Flapjacks

Ingredients:

175g butter

125g light soft brown sugar

150g golden syrup

325g gluten free rolled oats

1 tsp cinnamon

Method:

  1. Grease and line an 8 inch square baking tin.  Pre-heat the oven to 160C fan.

  2. Add the oats to a large bowl with the cinnamon, and set aside.  Gently melt the butter, brown sugar and golden syrup in a saucepan on a low-medium heat until smooth and gently bubbling.

  3. Take off the heat and pour on top of the oats.  Stir until fully combined and the butter has been absorbed into the oats.

  4. Put the mixture into the baking tin and press down until even and compact.  Bake for 20-25 mins until the edges have browned.

  5. Leave to cool, slice and enjoy.
