Corn Tortilla

Ingredients:

150g masa harina (available online)

100ml cold water

1tbsp olive oil

Pinch of salt

Method:

  1. Mix the masa harina and salt in a bowl. Add the water and olive and mix until you get a smooth dough. If it’s too sticky, add some masa harina. If it’s too dry, add a drop of water.

  2. Divide the dough into 24 balls. Cover and leave to rest in the fridge for 10 mins.

  3. Flatten the balls of dough with either a tortilla press or roll then between two layers of cling film. Flatten to approximately 3 mm thick.

  4. To cook the tortillas, lightly oil a flat griddle pan or frying pan and place over a hot heat. Cook the tortillas for approximately one minute on each side, or until lightly coloured. Enjoy!
